Why We Ship It: When bad girl Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell) is accidentally sent to the good place, her assigned soulmate Chidi (William Jackson Harper) agrees to teach her ethics so she can maintain her status and avoid getting shipped off to hell. As they work to keep Eleanor’s secret a mystery, Chidi and Eleanor get quite close. Even though they do clash frequently, their personality traits are actually very complimentary. The two basically define the notion of opposites attract, and, while they drive each other nuts quite often, they have an otherworldly bond that goes way beyond friendship.
