Taissa Farmiga is Vera’s Lilttle Sister
Vera Farmiga (who portrays Norma Bates) has a famous younger sister you may recognize — Taissa Farmiga! Vera’s little sis stars in several seasons of American Horror Story and was even directed by Vera in 2011’s Higher Ground.
Taissa and Vera Farmiga have a very special bond. They’re sisters, but being over 20 years apart has also created a mother-daughter relationship between the two. In an interview with Parade, Vera shared how her sister is like “my surrogate child. We’re best friends, but I like to think I’ve parented her in a way, too.” Aww!
Besides Taissa’s work in American Horror Story, the actress has also starred in Rules Don’t Apply, 6 Years, The Final Girls, and Wicked City. And when Vera isn’t chasing after Freddie Highmore’s Norman Bates, she has starred in The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2, The Judge, Source Code, and many more.
