Officer Gus Grimly from Duluth, Minnesota, displayed extraordinary growth as a character from his interactions with Lorne Mavlo to his relationship with Molly Solverson. Gus exemplified bravery, intelligence, and love throughout Season 1. He was a good guy with a strong penchant to help others in need. Additionally, Colin Hanks truly made Grimly his own character and earned himself an Emmy nomination in 2014.
Gus represented a normal guy who tried his best to care for his family. In the face of evil, he eventually rose to the occasion to make the world a safer place for everyone else to enjoy life. His love for his daughter is touching while his relationship with Molly just made perfect sense so that he finally pursued his dream to be a mailman.
