It’s that time of year: spring cleaning! The Superstore crew gets down and dirty this week and unearths abnormalities lurking in Cloud 9. For one, Jonah’s relationship Kristen, Glenn’s daughter, forces the pair to bond beyond Jonah’s limits of comfort. Also, Cheyenne’s fiancé, Bo, starts working at the store to pick up extra cash, but his motives take a turn for the ulterior.

But what was up with Amy? When she finds a stack of developed photos while cleaning, she becomes obsessed with figuring out which former employee they belong to. She drags Garrett into her investigation, and together they tug at every detail of the photos and look up former female employees. Before long, they realize they are stock photos used for the store. Why did the lost photos mean so much to her as to throw herself into and waste an entire day on that project? Could Superstore be running out of steam for Amy or, conversely, is the series teeing up the root of her lethargy? We can expect to get into the trenches of Amy’s marital woes in the final two episodes, but for now it’s time to hit the 10 items or less lane with the five best jokes in the latest episode!

1. “I just took Naomi’s dad to a train museum!”

Jonah makes blunder in the morning meeting when he mentions that he saw Kristen before work. It’s 6 a.m., which raises Glenn’s Scooby ears. Jonah covers with a story about waking up super early for breakfast, which Glenn buys (but we all know the guy’s still mortified on the inside). Still, Jonah wants Glenn to be “jazzed” about him dating Kristen, and he makes it his mission to bond.

2. “What’s the biggest dog you’ve ever seen and why?”

Be careful what you wish for, Jonah! Glenn takes Jonah out for lunch at a Mexican restaurant, which Jonah surely chose. Glenn’s bewildered by the word “quesadilla,” he tries to order a hot dog, and he asks the waiter if they accept American dollars. Jonah gets a long lunch out of the deal, which makes him wary of receiving special treatment.

3. “Nah, I contain multitudes, yo.”

When Bo joins the Cloud 9 staff to save money for his and Cheyenne’s wedding, he assumes it’ll be a simple cash-in. He spots Dina counting cash from the registers and decides against working for money. He’s going to steal it instead. To do so, he wisely buddies up with Dina to learn the inside hacks to the store’s security, from the blind guard to the trick cameras. Yeah, Bo contains multitudes, all right.

4. “Not enough body hair. He looks like a newborn mouse.”

Dina thinks Bo has a crush on her because why else would he suddenly be buddy-buddy with her? We’d all be better off if we lived life with the confidence of Dina. Cheyenne catches Bo hiding behind his self-made paper towel bunker. It’s totally believable that Bo would have seen the Jessica Simpson classic (ha!) Employee of the Month, think the in-store secret hideouts from the movie were cool, and use the idea to his robbery advantage. But Cheyenne talks Bo out of the scheme, and he quits, going down in a hilarious blaze of glory.

5. “Do you think this is chocolate sauce or blood?”

Mateo scrubs a sketchy handprint from a shelf, but its mysterious makeup isn’t the big story here. Jonah and Glenn breakup after Jonah admits that he doesn’t want to be Glenn’s assistant or hang out with him. Jonah returns his cloud tie and apologizes to Glenn. When Glenn asks for the truth about seeing Kristen that morning, Jonah shoots straight: They met for breakfast. Glenn’s heart isn’t strong enough to endure the news of a sleepover. But is it strong enough to lay off 10% of his workforce as per a cliffhanger phone call from corporate?
