Where is Kim Wexler in Breaking Bad? What happens to Kim in Better Call Saul?

We heart Better Call Saul‘s Kim Wexler, which is why we’re super worried she’s nowhere to be seen in Breaking Bad. Rhea Seehorn’s character is not even mentioned in the AMC hit series. Saul Goodman aka Jimmy McGill doesn’t even bring up Kim’s name once. We fear the worst, so we’ve rounded up three of the most popular theories.

Breaking Bad fans didn’t know about Kim Wexler until the prequel Better Call Saul premiered on AMC. This is strange because Kim plays such a huge role in Jimmy’s life. She’s not only Jimmy’s best friend a huge part of his life — Kim is Saul’s wife for crying out loud! So what could have happened to her between now and when we first meet the disgraced lawyer in Breaking Bad?

The following three theories explain Kim’s possible whereabouts during Breaking Bad‘s crazy events. One of the three is a somewhat happy ending for Kim, but the other two are pretty terrible fates. The truth is, we all know Jimmy is headed down the wrong path, and he is going to bring those he loves down with him.

Kim ran while she could

As much as we love Jimmy, we hope Kim realized where this was all headed and ran while she could. Even if this means Kim leaves Jimmy all alone, it’s the best choice for her. In fact, I’m pretty sure Jimmy would prefer if Kim stayed out of his mess, fearing what could happen to her.

Kim dies

Yikes. Let’s hope not! But if Breaking Bad killed our favorite characters, why can’t Better Call Saul? How and why would Kim Wexler die? That’s the question.

Kim goes to jail

To be honest, I think Kim going to jail is worse than Kim dying. I can’t imagine Kim all alone suffering in prison while Jimmy is still out there. How could he live with himself?
