Emmys 2017: Here’s a complete list of all the ‘This Is Us’ Emmy nominations
The 2017 Emmy nominations were announced Thursday morning and these are all the ‘This Is Us’ Emmy nominations received.
With some glaring omissions and multiple nominees in the same category, buckle up for some snubs and some tough decisions with the This Is Us Emmy nominations.
Outstanding Drama
This is the big one and the one NBC no doubt will put so much of its campaigning efforts behind. The competition is tough too: Better Call Saul, House of Cards, Stranger Things, The Crown, The Handmaid’s Tale and Westworld were all nominated as well.
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series
Sterling K. Brown and Milo Ventimiglia were both nominated for Lead Actor Emmys for their performances as Randall and Jack on This Is Us.
They’ll compete against Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), Kevin Spacey (House of Cards), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Matthew Rhys (The Americans) and Anthony Hopkins (Westworld).
Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series
Ron Cephas Jones was nominated for his moving performance as Randall’s father, William Hill.
His competition includes Jonathan Banks (Better Call Saul), Mandy Patinkin (Homeland), Michael Kelly (House of Cards), David Harbour (Stranger Things), John Lithgow (The Crown) and Jeffrey Wright (Westworld).
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Chrissy Metz, God bless, received an Emmy nomination for Kate on This Is Us, but that was it for the ladies.
She’ll be up against Samira Wiley (The Handmaid’s Tale), Uzo Aduba (Orange Is the New Black), Ann Down (The Handmaid’s Tale), Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things) and Thandie Newton (Westworld).
Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series
This Is Us low-key picked up in the guest actor category. Brian Tyree Henry, who played William’s cousin Ricky in the Memphis episode, received an Emmy nomination for his performance, as did Gerald McRaney for his recurring performance as Dr. K. Denis O’Hare, who played William’s great love Jessie, was also nominated for a guest actor Emmy.
We, of course, have some questions, comments and concerns about the nominations — we can think of at least three snubs — but more on that later.
