This Is Us Season 2: The actress who pays young Kate got a huge raise

The stars of This Is Us are hitting pay dirt with their lucrative contracts, but money pool trickles down to everyone — even the child actors playing their kids.
We all know that stars of massively successful network television shows tend to get paid handsomely. The stars of Friends were all making as much as $1 million per episode when the show was at its peak, and the stars of Game of Thrones are cleaning up just as well.
The cast of This Is Us are well on their way to record breaking contract figures, but the honeypot is sweet for more than just the main cast.
Mackenzie Hancsicsak is the actress who plays pre-teen Kate, but she’s getting a grown up paycheck for appearing on the show. According to TMZ, the actress is getting paid $12,500 per episode which is a roughly $4,000 raise from what she was making in the first season of the show.
It’s worth noting that unlike the series regulars, Hancsicsak doesn’t appear in every single episode of the season which means her salary is more spread out. Still, we all remember being a kid and barely being able to scrape together a fiver for doing house chores, while Hancsicsak is out there hustling her way to the top.
Her bank account is only going to get bigger the longer she’s on the show. TMZ reports that Hancsicsak’s third season raise will pay her $13,000 per episode. That’s a pretty nice chunk of change, and it’s well deserved.
The best part about this is we’re just seeing the beginning of Hancsicsak’s career. Her contracts are only going to get bigger, and being able to wave around her credit on This Is Us will only help sweeten the deal.
