This Is Us ‘Still Here’: Kate Reveals A Huge Secret

Kate Pearson shocked everyone with her last-minute reveal on the episode “Still Here.” 

Tonight on This Is Us viewers got to see Still Here which was Season 2 Episode 4. Kate Pearson had everyone concerned throughout the episode because you could tell that she was being careful about her health. Of course, I thought she was going on a huge diet and maybe taking it too far. That wasn’t the case at all, though.

They let the fans think there was something going on with her diet on purpose, but in the last couple of minutes, it was time for that big twist that This Is Us is so famous for and Kate revealed that she was pregnant.  She was at the doctor and an ultrasound was revealed showing that a baby is on the way.

Kate and the doctor talked about the fact that she is six weeks along. It is obvious that she hasn’t told Kevin or Toby the news yet. Toby and Kate made a decision to put off getting married right away until they knew each other better, but that being said, it doesn’t look like anything could split these two up. Toby has been able to prove more than once that he is in it for the long haul.

EW got the chance to talk to Chrissy Metz about this big twist that is going to change everything for Kate. She is really excited about the way they are going with her character and shared that she found out about it this summer. Chrissy explained what she loves about this twist.

"I love the fact that obviously she’s having relations (laughs) out of wedlock. Everything is really unconventional, and I love that they’re talking about plus-size pregnancy. I love that it’s not like, Oh, here’s a plus-size girl just sitting in the corner, wishing her life would start.’ She’s actually living her life, and all of these really exciting things are happening, and it’s really nice. Because I don’t think it’s been portrayed — well, really anywhere. Especially network television. So I’m excited about it."
