Celebrity Big Brother rumors: Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola could join Big Brother cast

Celebrity Big Brother rumors now include a new name as a potential cast member for this winter. Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who gained her fame as a member of the Jersey Shore cast on MTV, has now been linked to the CBS reality show. A report by Radar Online suggests that Giancola is passing on other projects because she plans to join the Celebrity Big Brother cast.
The site made a bold statement in relaying it as a fact that Giancola would be heading over to CBS this winter, calling it an “exclusive” report. The anecdote came up as part of a bigger story, where it was revealed that Giancola wouldn’t be attending a Jersey Shore reunion. This could be seen as a pretty good reason to opt out of the MTV show.

According to her IMDB credits, Sammi Giancola appeared on 83 episodes of Jersey Shore and then an additional eight episodes of a spinoff called Snooki & JWoww. She also appeared in the latest Three Stooges film, an episode of Project Runway, and an episode of Makeover Manor.
In regard to the Celebrity Big Brother cast, CBS and the casting director have made no official announcements about who will join the show this winter. In fact, there hasn’t even been an official release from the network as to when the season premiere will air this winter.

CBS made the announcement back in September that the network was going to try a celebrity edition of the hit reality competition show in the United States. While this is a format that has been done in Britain, it isn’t something that has been brought to the American audiences (yet).
The delay in announcing who might join the show has led to numerous Celebrity Big Brother casting rumors. Sammi Giancola now joins that prospective list. Fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out for sure, though, as casting director Robyn Kass isn’t revealing any of her secrets for the winter season just yet.
