Teaming up to take down Trask:

Pulling up in style, the Mutant Underground leaders and the Frost sisters arrive at the Frosts’ house in Charlotte. The women explain that The Brotherhood left them the luxury home with all the technology and supplies they might need to carry out their mission, and it’s quite a step up from the bank left to the Underground. Showing Lorna to her bedroom, Esme starts to pry about her about Lorna’s family and friends, causing Lorna to promptly shoot the bed frame into the far wall out of frustration. Esme knows Lorna’s powers have been growing stronger.

The Struckers load up the car and head out to Reed mother, Ellen’s, office. They’re relieved to learn they’ve gotten to her before Trask was able to intervene. Lauren and Andy stand guard outside and Andy makes it clear he’s ready to use the extent of their powers if Trask shows up. Lauren is conflicted by his words; power of what he can do is starting to get to his head.

Ellen doesn’t take the threat of Trask seriously, and Reed tells her about Otto’s murder at the hands of Trask in hopes she’ll agree to leave. Reed opens up to her even more, telling her how Otto was a mutant and how he blocked the X-gene in Reed. But they take too long to get out of the building. Sentinel Services is in the parking lot and have been spotted by Lauren and Andy.

Waiting in the woods for a Humanity Today contributing donor, Marcos, John, and Lorna stand together in the tree line while Clarice and Esme wait in the SUV. Once again, Esme takes the moment of alone time with Clarice to persuade her of their cause, slowly planting seeds in people’s heads to gain their trust. Their target drives down the highway and the mutants stop his car easily. With a quick moment of mind control, they’re able to kidnap him and bring him back to the house.

In the parking lot, Lauren and Andy argue about whether they should use their power against the officers, and it results in both of them getting hurt as they fall to the ground and smack their heads on the pavement. Caitlin knows something is wrong, but they all jump into the car to get away before the officers could stop them.
