1. The Good Witch – Film No. 1

Original Release Date: Jan. 18, 2008

An Enchanting Tale: Our story begins with widowed father of two and Middleton Police Chief Jack Russell whose life is turned upside down when the charming Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Nightingale comes to town. From moving into “haunted” Grey House to the opening of Bell, Book & Candle, a wondrous shop filled with unique and magical items, Cassie manages to catch Jake’s attention as well as the attention of the entire town including a few skeptical neighbors who fear that her magical ways might not be a good fit for the quaint town.

Why We’re Under Its Spell: Was there ever any doubt that the No. 1 movie on our countdown would be the film that started it all? From the moment we first met Cassie Nightingale we were put under her spell and it took no time for us to fall in love with the quaint town of Middleton. They say first impressions are everything and from the moment we first met Cassie and all of Middleton’s eccentric residents we were immediately drawn in! Ten years later, The Good Witch is just as bewitching as it was when it first premiered and we can’t wait to see what the next decade holds for Cassie and the citizens of Middleton. However, none of the franchise’s other films or Hallmark’s original series would have been possible if not for the incredible storytelling in the film that started it all.
