Is John Krasinski invited to The Office revival?

The last several months, television networks have geared up many old properties to return to television, including classics like Roseanne and possibly Murphy Brown. Among these reboots is the NBC hit The Office, which finished its run back in 2013. While The Office may not be as old as Murphy Brown, the show remains a fan-favorite long after Dunder Mifflin sold its last ream of paper.
As most of us remember, Jim and Pam were a major hook for audiences of the show. John Krasinski especially, because of his down-to-earth charm as well as wit. In a recent interview with Ellen, Krasinski himself weighs in on the reboot of The Office and whether he has a role in the revival.

When asked if he heard about the show’s return, Krasinski humorously responds with, “I did hear that… on the internet.” He further adds, “Guess who didn’t get a call? Me.”
All this is said with cheeky candor, but he seems to be sending NBC a wink to dial his number.
"“What does that say? NBC is like, You know who we did not like? Jim.”"
Ellen laughs but says there’s no way the show would return without his presence. “Well, it looks like they are… I haven’t got a call yet.”
However, Krasinski does say he would love to return and that he “would love to get the gang back together.”
