This Is Us star and Emmy winner Sterling K. Brown will trade tears for laughs when he makes his Saturday Night Live hosting debut this March.

Live from New York, it’s Sterling K. Brown! On Tuesday, the official Saturday Night Live Twitter account shared the news every fan of the sketch comedy series eagerly anticipates: The next batch of hosts and musical guests. As luck would have it, This Is Us fans received something of a treat when they learned that Sterling K. Brown would host the March 10 episode, marking the Emmy winner’s first turn on SNL.

Surprisingly, none of the This Is Us cast members have hosted Saturday Night Live since the drama series became an enormous hit for NBC, the same network SNL calls home, in fall 2016. Whether due to scheduling conflicts or lack of interest from the cast, the long-awaited crossover will finally occur this spring. For once, Sterling K. Brown, who also appears in the wildly successful Marvel film Black Panther, will be making us laugh rather than cry.

Brown will take the legendary 30 Rock stage on March 10 accompanied by musical guest James Bay (who you know from his massive hit “Let It Go”). Even though we would have preferred a little This Is Us musical mash-up to the tune of Mandy Moore running through her best hits or Chrissy Metz belting out “Time After Time,” we won’t be too greedy. There’s still time to get another This Is Us standout up on that stage.

The week before Sterling K. Brown takes over hosting duties, Charles Barkely will host with musical guest Migos, while the week after Bill Hader will be joined by Arcade Fire. At first glance, there’s a glaring lack of women in the March Saturday Night Live lineup, but for the time being, we’ll excuse that blunder after watching Brown celebrate his upcoming hosting duties in an adorable video on Twitter.
