Linda Belcher

As a character, Linda Belcher is the leading lady of the family. The wife of Bob and mother of Tina, Gene and Louise, Linda is in some way the stereotypical cartoon mother. She is the glue, holding the family together and balances working and taking care of the kids.

That’s where the similarities end, though. Moms on TV are usually portrayed as boring robots who only care about their family but not Linda. Linda is an incredibly fun character who loves singing, drinking wine and working in the restaurant. Any chance she has to sing a song or drink wine, she’ll take it.

The reason why Linda is relatable to a lot of people is because of her personality and general zest for life. She doesn’t let small things bother her and tends to ignore negativity. During most episodes, she’s incredibly upbeat and looks at the glass half-full. Her catchphrase “Alright!” is a great testament to her attitude.

In terms of female characters on Bob’s Burgers, Linda is definitely underrated. She’s not nearly as popular or beloved as Tina or Louise. Regardless, she’s still a character a lot of fans root for and enjoy immensely.

Voiced by perfection by John Roberts, Linda Belcher should be celebrated for being a fun and positive mom while also working full-time. It’s not easy but there’s just something about Linda’s attitude you can’t help but love.
