Sterling K. Brown hinted at the idea that Kate and Toby might not get married in the This Is Us season finale.

We can count on Sterling K. Brown to give us credible information when it comes to all things This Is Us. While he was on The Tonight Show on March 8, he mentioned Kate and Toby’s wedding. You can watch it here.  What Brown mentioned is a surprise to a lot of fans.

"“It deals with the nuptials between Kate and Toby and whether they happen or they don’t happen.”"

So, according to Brown, there’s a chance that this wedding might not happen. It’s a shock, but it’s not too far out there. This is This Is Us, and the writers are known to throw in plenty of surprises. We should be used to it by now!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but I have been so sure that this wedding was going to happen. I didn’t have any doubts, partially because of how much I love Kate and Toby together. It’s been amazing to watch their relationship grow and to see the way that they love each other.

In the finale’s preview, it looks like the wedding is completely set up and ready to go. This makes me think that something happens at the ceremony while Kate and Toby are already at the altar.

Ever since they met, Toby has seemed all into the relationship. Kate obviously loves Toby, but she seems slightly less enthusiastic. Not to mention, Jack set her standards pretty high. I’m guessing Kate would be the one to back down, if the wedding doesn’t happen.

We’ll find out in just a couple of days whether or not KaToby becomes official. What do you think is going to happen? Let us know in the comments!

The season finale of This Is Us airs on Tuesday at 9/8c.
