This Is Us season 2 finale preview: Kate and Toby’s wedding day surprise

What’s happening on the Season 2 finale of This Is Us? It’s Kate and Toby’s wedding day, and there will be Pearson-level fireworks.
After months of feels, answers, and game-changing twists, it all comes down to this. Season 2 of This Is Us comes to a close with the moment fans have been waiting for since the Toby uttered the words, “I’m kind of in love with you.” Kate and Toby are finally headed down the aisle to swap vows, and it’s the beautiful ending to a wild ride. At least, it should be.
Last season’s finale proved that you never really know what you’re going to get from a This Is Us season-capper. Fans had expected Season 1 to end with answers about Jack’s death, but instead the freshman run concluded with a tense question about Jack and Rebecca’s marriage. With its Season 2 finale, the series could repeat history and throw us through a loop as KaToby says “I do.”

While we’ll have to wait and see how This Is Us ends the season, we can without a doubt confirm that Kate and Toby’s wedding day will come fully stocked with surprises. From meeting Toby’s parents to the vow-swap itself, this will be one for the books. Oh, and in case you hadn’t heard, Jack will be there.
By the grace of television magic, Jack Pearson will stand before Rebecca during a sequence of the episode sure to cause an epidemic of puffy eyes on Wednesday, March 14. While we don’t think Jack will appear in the wedding sequence, we’d bet This Is Us sneaks him in during a “what if” moment of a vow renewal or something equally tissue-worthy. There won’t be a dry eye in the audience as the series arrives at its next opportunity for a massive cliffhanger.
