Last week Timeless headed to the 1950s for another Rittenhouse chase. While history continues to wow and astonish the Time Team, the trio was also once again reminded that meeting your heroes can sometimes be a big disappointment. Things are rarely the way they actually seem and in this particular case Wyatt (Matt Lanter) discovers that his favorite race car driver at the stock car race is actually a Rittenhouse sleeper agent and the American car industry was in serious trouble.
The episode was a fascinating dive into so many aspects of history and cars and race car drivers and we loved every second of it! Of course what makes it that much more exciting is this week’s adventure finds Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) in 1941 and an important piece of film history is in jeopardy with another Rittenhouse sleeper agent!

The official synopsis for “Hollywoodland” (S2E3) states:
"When a Rittenhouse sleeper agent in 1941 Hollywood steals the only copy of Citizen Kane, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) team up with Hedy Lamarr (guest star Alyssa Sutherland) to get it back. Hedy Lamarr turns out to be not only a glamorous movie star but also a scientific wizard whose discoveries led to the invention of Wi-Fi."
