Season 5: “Eat, Spray, Linda”

After the multiple episodes in seasons 3 and 4, season 5 is kind of a low point. Well at least for Bob and Linda-themed episodes so the episode I chose is “Eat, Spray, Linda.” Obviously, it’s a Linda-centric episode but it does feature a lot of moments with the two.

The entire episode is about Linda and her birthday which she refuses to celebrate. The rest of the family rushes her out only for her to have a horrible day. As for Bob, it’s an eye-opening experience.

Through the kids and the places they visit, he learns even more about Linda. It’s a sweet reminder that no one truly knows everything about their partner. Watching Bob discover all these new things about her is heartwarming.

Eventually, when Linda gets back, Bob and the kids convince her to celebrate her birthday and reassure her how much they love and appreciate her. The obvious takeaway from this episode is no matter how long Bob and Linda have been together, they’re still able to learn from and about each other.

At its heart, the episode is about Bob, Linda and their family. Ultimately, that’s what the series stands for and the reason why we all love it so much.
