Season 7: “Bob Actually”

Moving into season 7, this one should be no surprise. The show’s Valentines Day episode, “Bob Actually” didn’t have Bob and Linda as a focal point. However, their plot vastly overshadowed the others.

The episode continues the tradition of Bob giving Linda crappy gifts. This time, Bob forgot to take dance lessons. He tries to look on Youtube but Teddy suggests the two go to a dance studio. At the studio, they try and fail at ballroom dancing before going to a hip-hop dancing class.

At the end of the episode, Bob surprises Linda that she loves and the two kiss. There are a few takeaways from this episode including Bob’s tradition of bad gifts and regardless of how bad Bob thought his gift was, Linda loved it. Even though he didn’t put much effort into it, the effort was appreciated.

Once again, Bob and Linda prove the small things are what matters. Neither of them wants or need fancy gestures or gifts to feel loved. They have their kids, the restaurant and each other so what else could they possibly need? Not to mention, this episode won the show an Emmy award too so clearly, a lot of people enjoyed it too!
