Season 3: “Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks”

Season 3 started the pattern of Tina-centric episodes of Bob’s Burgers. From that point on until now, the show has featured at least one Tina-centric episode. For season 3, there were two: “Two for Tina” and “Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks.” Personally, I think the latter is more impactful to Tina.

In “Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks,” Bob allows Tina to drive in a parking lot where she wrecks, hitting Jimmy Pesto’s car. Instead of telling the truth, the two lie to their insurance agent and it spirals out of control. Eventually, Tina uses Gene’s keyboard to prove their insurance agent is committing fraud.

How “Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks” impacted Tina: The obvious impact it had on Tina was it being her first driving experience. While a lot of us don’t have the same result, it represents how nerve-racking it can be. It was a huge moment of insecurity for Tina since she believes she’s a jinx on the family until she saves them. She proves her honesty and morality by making sure the truth comes out.

“Tina-Rannosaurus Wrecks” features excellent character development as we see Tina being honest, doing what’s right and coming up with a solution to their insurance problem. This doesn’t really impact Tina, but it’s easily one of the funniest Tina-centric episode aired yet.
