Riverdale season 2, episode 21 preview: Will Jughead survive ‘Judgment Night’?

Whether you believe it or not, we’re two episodes away from the Season 2 finale of Riverdale, and the penultimate outing will surely tee up a tragic, dark, and revealing conclusion of the Black Hood mystery. Until the official unmasking, we’ll still be wondering if the series can pull off a satisfying resolution to the killer twist, but the irons get even hotter with the latest war between the North and South Sides as Archie and Jughead fight for their lives on opposite sides. Are the rumors true? Is Jughead going to die in the season finale?
In the midst of the battle brewing in Riverdale, caused in the aftermath of the shooting at the sheriff’s station, Veronica learns shocking information about Hiram. Another enemy of Hiram’s marches into town looking for revenge (could it be Small Fry?), meaning Hiram’s not having a very good week. Elsewhere, the Black Hood pays Cheryl a haunting visit and later meets up with his pal Betty for a tense tête-à-tête. Maybe this time she’ll come close enough to snatch his hood and end this vicious cycle of horror. We can dream, Riverdale. We can dream.
Circling back to the Jughead rumors, it’s unlikely that the series will kill off its narrator since the story’s arguably being told through the lens of his novel. It’s also doubtful that a teenager’s novel will be published posthumously and when it’s not even close to being finished. However, will tragedy still strike for Jughead? What does Veronica learn about Hiram? And can Betty outwit the Black Hood?
