Christine Adams as Lynn Pierce in Black Lightning

Why Lynn Pierce of the best TV moms: If there was ever a picture in the dictionary for co-parenting, Black Lightning’s Lynn and Jefferson Pierce would be there. While their marriage didn’t  work out for reasons other than not caring about each other, they never let their differences affect how they cared for their children.

Lynn has been accepting of her daughters, including when her eldest Anissa came out as a gay. While she was devastated to learn her daughters had super powers because she worried her their safety, she trusted her children’s decisions.

Jennifer was reluctant to use her powers, going as far as not wanting them, while Anissa embraced them. Either way – whether she agreed with their decisions – she supported them.

But one thing that stood out with Lynn was that she also not afraid to call out her daughters when they were wrong. They gave their daughters a lot of independence, but that didn’t mean their parents weren’t there for them. Lynn and Jeff made decisions they felt were right for their children, and stuck to that even when crossed by others.

It’s no surprise Black Lightning’s first season ended with the Pierce family together. They are a strong family led by one of the best TV moms.
