For the whole weekend, Wayward Sisters fans have taken to Twitter to share their anger and disappointment about The CW not picking up the show. Can you help the network change its mind? It’s worth a try, right?

Three years. That’s how long fans of Supernatural have petitioned for Wayward Sisters; a spin-off about independent and inspiring women. It took until last year for the CW to finally agree to a backdoor pilot, and that was a huge success. Now there are fans around the world hoping and praying for the show to get picked up.

When Andrew Dabb announced that The CW had passed on Wayward Sisters, fans were understandably upset. While other pilots were picked up to series, it was the Supernatural spin-off that kept trending on Twitter and other social media platforms. Fans are angry and upset that their show hasn’t been chosen and now it’s time to help change The CW’s mind. There are steps you can take. It’s worth a shot, anyway.

Sign the petitions

There are a few petitions going around. The one that the Supernatural actors are helping to push is a Change.org petition, which gained 30,000+ signatures over the weekend and it is still going strong. This is a petition that Matt Cohen recently tagged Ellen DeGeneres in to encourage more support.

While petitions may not work right away, they do help to drum up the noise. They help to show just how many people want this show. It doesn’t hurt to put your name to it.

Email The CW

Many fans have already started to email The CW and Mark Pedowitz himself. There is an automatic response at the moment, which can seem like the people behind the computers are just ignoring and hoping everyone goes away. However, this is the chance to spell out what Wayward Sisters means to you. The more emails The CW gets, the more it realizes the mistake its made.

You can also write letters through snail mail, but that’s not going to quite make an impact. You want to get into the inboxes right now.

Be loud on social media

Being as loud as possible on social media is definitely the way to get the network to reconsider. This is the way Timeless fans saved their show last year. It’s also the way Brooklyn Nine-Nine fans have saved their show.

So far, other networks may be considering it, especially the likes of Netflix or Hulu. Social media is the chance to show just how much you want it. Keep tagging The CW into your posts and make it extremely clear that this is important to you.

Don’t give up! Those who don’t want the show want you to give up, because they want to prove that there wasn’t the long-term need for it. Keep up the fight if you want to bring Wayward Sisters to your screens.
