7 movies we’re looking forward to this summer

Premiere date: Friday, June 15
Synopsis: Lucius, Helen, Bob, Violet, Dash, and Jack-Jack are back! Being a superhero is still against the law, but the Parr family is about to change things. However, Helen aka Elastigirl’s awesome new job is not an easy transition, particularly for Bob. But when a new villain poses a new threat, a few more rules will have to be broken as the gang works together again.
Cast: Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson, Huck Milner.
Why we’re so excited to watch it: We’re finally getting a sequel! After nearly 15 years! Can you say it’s about time?! I guess it’s true what they say — good things take time. Well, but did it have to take over a decade?
Just based on the trailer, we can tell we’re going to love it. But Incredibles 2 does have a lot to live up to. The first movie, Incredibles (released 2004), scored a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. It’s definitely a classic. The plot for the sequel is revealed in the trailer, but we’re sure (just like the first one) there will be plenty of surprises in store. And sorry, Bob, as fun as your day-to-day misfortunes look, we’re most excited to see Elastigirl kick some ass.
