What will happen to Monty and the rest of the team?

New character Monty, one of Bryce’s closest friends, was revealed at the end of the season to be behind all of the threats and attacks on Clay and other witnesses in the case. He then took things even further by violently assaulting Tyler on his first day back at school. With Bryce no longer attending Liberty High, it seems Monty may be the show’s next big bad.

He may have some competition, though, in the form of coach Rick. As many suspected from the start, the baseball team’s coach was not only aware of the deeds going on in the now infamous clubhouse, he condoned them but told his guys to “keep it quiet.”

This information is bound to come out sooner or later as some team members – notably Zach and new character Scott who showed his true allegiance when he helped lure Monty into a trap to try and get the polaroids. The question is when and how will that information come out, and what will the school do about it when it does?

Does Chloe go through with her pregnancy?

Bryce’s girlfriend Chloe, herself one of his many victims, tries to testify against him during the trial but can’t go through with it. At the last second, she changes her story and tells the court that she now remembers consenting to the encounter. At the end of the season Chloe, who is still with Bryce, tells Jessica that she is pregnant with his child.

This development opens up yet another pair of tricky subjects, namely the prospect of abortion and babies conceived through rape. No matter what Chloe decides to do about the pregnancy, the psychological toll of her relationship with Bryce will definitely be something to explore in the third season.

Why did Jessica’s new friend Nina steal and destroy the polaroids?

When the polaroids illustrating Bryce and his team’s many assaults on girls are stolen from Clay’s car, it is widely assumed that Bryce and his teammates were behind it. Shockingly that was not the case, as it is revealed at the end of the season that Nina is in possession of the polaroids and she burns them all before they can be seen.

Nina was one of Bryce’s many victims so it is hard to imagine why she would want to dispose of the only evidence that could bring him and his teammates to justice. It would have made plenty of sense for Nina to steal her picture and burn it, but disposing of all the polaroids hints at something more going on with Nina then we ever expected.
