#9 Magda pushes Alba down the stairs (S01 E10)

In this scene, Alba (Jane’s abuela) finds out that Petra is trying to find a way to have custody of the baby. After a lot of drinking at the Marbella’s party, Alba decides to go up to her room to give her “a piece of her mind.” She goes up to the room, and knocks on the door, only to be met with Petra’s mother, Magda.

Realizing that Alba could hear the man that they had held hostage, Ivan, she threatens Alba and slams the door in her face. Alba runs for the stairs, but by the time she gets there, she’s tumbling, because Magda pushed her. Magda can walk!

From watching before, fans know that Magda was in an accident, who caused her to be paralyzed from the waist down. Seeing this should be impossible! But it’s not. She’s been faking it this whole time, just so Petra could hate Milos and take care of her.

Alba ends up in a coma and remembers much later what really happened, and Magda finally serves time.
