#13 World’s Greatest Dad

Original Release Date: This movie premiered in theaters on August 21, 2009.

Box Office Earnings: Just like other movies on this list, the budget spent on World’s Greatest Dad is not known. We’re also not sure how it performed overseas, but with a $221.8 million domestically, we say it did just fine!

Critical Acclaim: With an 89% Fresh at Rotten TomatoesWorld’s Greatest Dad is one of Robin Williams’ highest rated movies on the site. As amazing as the movie did with critics, though, this movie was ignored at award shows, but the actor did receive praise for his role.

About the Role: Robin Williams may be known for his roles in comedy films, but he also experiment with dark comedies, and World’s Greatest Dad is a great example! Williams plays Lance Clayton, a character who teaches us that what we want isn’t always what will make us happy or what we need.

Simply the Best: This risky, but brave comedy is one to watch if you want to see something out of the ordinary. And with Robin Williams starring, you can’t go wrong. The movie also stars Daryl Sabara, Alexie Gilmore, Geoffrey Pierson, and Tom Kenny.
