4. “Mutiny on the Windbreaker”

Season 3, Episode 4

Why it’s a spooky delight: The second episode on this list comes a little bit later in the series. At the beginning of season 3, the Belchers went off to sea and not by choice. When a ship captain visits the restaurant, he asks Bob to be his guest chef and Bob agrees if they don’t leave but the captain leaves and kidnaps the family. It’s a dream for the kids but a nightmare for Bob.

The creepiness in this episode definitely comes from the captain and his actions. He’s also voiced by Jeffrey Tambor so that’s reason enough. His strangest actions are towards his passengers who he feeds rotten food and what’s even worse is the passengers fighting over who gets to eat it. The episode ends with Captain leaving and the Belcher family returning home.

The premise might not seem creepy, but it’s certainly a strange episode. From the kidnapping to the captain antagonizing Bob to Duval, there are a lot of moments you wouldn’t imagine on Bob’s Burgers. It might not be a fan favorite, but it’s a good one if you want a creepy but not really scary episode to watch.
