Stephen King books and short stories are constantly being adapted in different ways. However, some adaptations get remakes and the upcoming Pet Sematary aims to terrify.

Stephen King has a wide variety of stories that fall under the horror genre, which makes for some perfect October content to consume. Whether it’s the books, TV shows or movies, any fan of the genre can find something to dive into. That makes the Pet Sematary trailer today perfect for anyone wanting that Halloween vibe.

Pet Sematary was first adapted in 1989 and it’ll receive a remake in 2019, 30 years later. As April 5, 2019 approaches, we’ll see more footage from the movie, but the first official trailer gives us something to look forward to (and gives me time to finally read the book).

The trailer certainly aims to terrify fans with our first look at the house and all of the horrors that come with it and the forest surrounding it. We also get a look at plenty of characters. John Lithgow as Jud Crandall is an excellent casting choice and he really seems like he’s deep into the role.

While I have yet to see the original adaptation, that is also on my list to do because this looks pretty good. It’ll be interesting to have not only the context of the book, but the first movie to see where this one stands in comparison.

Pet Sematary stars Jason Clarke as Louis Creed, Amy Seimetz as Rachel Creed, John Lithgow as Jud Crandall, Jeté Laurence as Ellie Creed, Hugo Lavoie and Lucas Lavoie as Gage Creed and Obssa Ahmed as Victor Pascow.
