#9 Marvel Cinematic Universe

Original Release Date: Scarlett Johansson made her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Iron Man 2, which premiered in theaters on May 7, 2010 (in the United States). She has since made various appearances as a major character in the highly popular franchise.

Box Office Earnings: If we include the entire MCU series, the movies have collected a total of over $17.5 billion.

Critical Acclaim: Unfortunately, most academies do not take this genre into consideration. However, smaller award shows such as the MTV Movie Awards did give Johansson the crown for Best Fight thanks to The Avengers, and she received Teen Choice for Movie Actress for Avengers: Infinity War.

About the Role: Johansson was born to play the sleek spy Black Widow. For many years in the MCU, she was the only female fighting alongside the men. Because of her badass fighting skills, performance, and refusing to back down, she quickly became a fan favorite in the franchise. Not to mention, she’s one of the original members.

Simply the Best: Scarlett Johansson shines as Black Widow in every Marvel Cinematic Universe movie, but her performances in Captain America: The Winter Soldier stands out the most. The film may have been titled after the Captain, but Johansson’s character steals the show in every scene. And in Iron Man 2, a movie mostly disliked by all Marvel fans, Black Widow is the only thing love about the film. We’re glad she survived Avengers: Infinity War, and hope the actress is not done suiting up come Avenger 4.
