9. Season 7 – “The One Where Chandler Doesn’t Like Dogs”
Next is the one Friends Thanksgiving episode that is really unmemorable. It has the odd good moment, but as a whole, “The One Where Chandler Doesn’t Like Dogs” mostly evaporates into thin air. That’s why it comes in so low on this list.
This one centers completely around Chandler and his dislike of dogs, if you hadn’t already guessed. Phoebe, being Phoebe, decides to shelter a dog in her room without the rest of the gang knowing. When the secret is discovered, Chandler pretends he is allergic to dogs when in fact he’s just afraid of them.
Hijinks ensue as the dog is moved back and forth between Monica and Ross’s apartments, with Chandler’s secret eventually coming to light.
We also get a subplot about Rachel and her assistant Tag. At the very end of the episode, they share a kiss.
This is an okay episode, but nothing more than okay. There’s nothing here that impacts the greater Friends story arc. Chandler and his dog issues never popped up again, at least not as a major plot point, and we all know how things for Rachel and Tag ended up.
