7. Season 4 – “The One With Chandler In The Box”

We’re approaching the halfway point of our list. In this Thanksgiving episode, Chandler is in a box, just in case the title didn’t make that clear.

before we get into the details about this episode, I would just like to point out how much I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Matthew Perry received the script for this particular episode. In fact, seeing the faces of any of the cast members would have been great. Perry would have probably read the title and looked around wondering what the hell was in store for him, while everyone else probably had an evil grin on their face.

However, other than Chandler spending six hours in a tiny box to prove to Joey that he is a good friend after being caught kissing Kathy, there isn’t much going on in this episode. Monica ends up inviting Timothy, her ex-boyfriend and Richard’s son (a.k.a “Mustache Man” if you ask Chandler) for Thanksgiving dinner after visiting the ophthalmologist. She eventually ends up kissing him, which is hugely uncomfortable and awkward because all it does is remind her of Richard.

And that’s about it. The thinness of the episode is why it misses out on a top 5 spot. It does have a warming and touching ending, though, with Joey and Chandler making up.
