2. Marisol’s spell to remove her pain

Marisol never told anyone about Macy. Charity later explains to Macy that Marisol had asked for Charity to do a spell to remove pain and anguish. Now it all made sense.

To get over the pain of giving up a child, Marisol removed her pain. Did this mean she forgot all about her daughter? Well, no, because Marsiol had brought Macy to town. What it means is she removed her feelings, and that’s downright awful.

We don’t see Macy react much to this news. She has an innocent to save (more on that in a minute). But I hate that this mother could give up her child and then choose to remove her pain. What about the daughter she’d left behind? It was a selfish action and there better be a good reason for it.

3. The Elders still don’t care

While I enjoyed the change to the Elders (again, I’m getting there), I don’t like how the show has created them. The Elders still don’t think about humans. All they care about is their witches and protecting magic.

This was something I really hoped that Charmed would fix. Why is magic considered far more superior? Why are humans who are affected by magic left as collateral damage? It’s something that irks me with any show like this. Chilling Adventures of Sabrina did this, too.
