The MCU buddy comedy that we’ve needed!

But even beyond that, their combined irritation at one another for the above-mentioned reasons has been hilarious. From Sam refusing to move up his seat in a tiny car in Civil War, to them getting in each others’ way fighting Spider-Man, the two have great comedic chemistry together. This mini-series could end up being the buddy comedy that’s been lacking in the MCU.

Imagine a somber and subdued Bucky, a man out of time, brainwashed, a fugitive of the law, having to spend his time with a charming, smooth talking, wisecracking and well-adjusted war veteran? It’s the odd couple of the MCU that is sure to be comedic gold.

I can just see Sam trying to navigate Bucky through the modern era, with the technology, pop culture references and societal attitudes that he hasn’t ever had time to understand or look into. It’s all the Cap jokes but expanded with the luxury of time that the movies didn’t allow for.

I would love to see a montage of the two characters in completely mundane and everyday settings like doing the laundry, watching TV, trying to cook together and bickering about their differing tastes in food; the Spartan and minimalistic Winter Soldier trying to cook a can of beans straight out of the can, as the high-flying Falcon is simmering the rose sauce for his mushroom ravioli.

Despite the overall tone of the Falcon and Winter Soldier series, there needs to be an odd couple angle that builds upon the mismatched pairing between the two, with hilarious results.
