Cast of Celebrity Big Brother 2018 needs some improvements

The cast of Celebrity Big Brother 2018 had some good houseguests in the mix. There were also several celebrities who ended up wanting to quit the game. Producers need to work hard at avoiding the latter.

First revealed during the 2018 Grammy Awards, there were 11 members within the cast of Celebrity Big Brother 2018. Notable names included actress Shannon Elizabeth, media host Ross Mathews, NBA champion Metta World Peace, and singer Mark McGrath. The first CBB USA cast also include reality show stars Omarosa and Brandi Glanville, but none of these people ended up getting declared the winner of the 2018 winter season on CBS.

Celebrity Big Brother 2018 cast winner

Broadway star Marissa Jaret Winokur, best known for her work on Hairspray, ended up becoming the winner of the show. It was an unexpected result during the season finale, as Ross Mathews had controlled the house for most of the game. The celebrity jury seemed to like Marissa better than Ross, in the end, awarding her the cash prize.

With respect to the two celebrities who wanted to quit the game, Keshia Knight Pulliam missed her daughter and Metta World Peace missed his wife (Maya Ford). When Keshia stated that she needed to quit the game to get home to her daughter, it frustrated a lot of viewers. Then, when Metta asked to be voted out so that he could also go home, it led to even more frustrations.

The rest of the cast of Celebrity Big Brother 2018 was Ariadna Gutierrez, Chuck Liddell, and James Maslow. There were just 11 houseguests, which could be similar to what the producers do for the 2019 installment of the show.

The new season of Celebrity Big Brother

CBS officially revealed the Celebrity Big Brother schedule for winter 2019. It will get started in January and include a brand new group of celebrities. The names of those new houseguests haven’t been revealed yet, which suggests that they are still working on putting the show together. At least viewers can start planning out their television watching in January and February with the information at hand.

The first season of the USA version of the show did very well in the ratings. That’s why it was so easy for CBS to bring it back for another season. It’s difficult to predict if the new houseguests can improve upon the cast of Celebrity Big Brother 2018, but they are certainly going to give it a try.
