The Good Place Season 3 midseason finale preview: Where is the Soul Squad now?

In the midseason finale of The Good Place, Michael and Janet formulate a plan to keep the Soul Squad in motion. But has their time expired?
Not to alarm anyone, but there are only four episodes left in The Good Place’s third season. Four. This week, 30 minutes of those final two hours bids adieu to the Soul Squad until the new year with the sure-to-be jaw-dropping midseason finale. When the latest episode ends, we’ll be left hanging until the last trio of episodes kick off post-Brooklyn Nine-Nine on Jan. 10, 2019. That’s a long time to wait for our next fix, but our favorite motley crew still has one trick left up their sleeves before calling 2018 a wrap.
Following their bar brawl with a bunch of demons, Janet pulled the humans and Michael into her void for safe keeping, which she mentions causes their deaths on Earth… again. The details of their newest attempt to outrun their eternal fate haven’t yet been ironed out, but it certainly begs the question: Where have they gone now?
Whether admission into Janet’s void has turned them all into Janets remains to be seen, and it’s becoming increasingly obvious that they’re running out of options. However, Michael and Janet devise one last plan. Let’s hope this one works!

Once more with feeling: Where are Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani, and Jason, and where will they end up after their stay in Janet’s void? What are the terms of being a guest in Janet’s void? Will they obtain any of Janet’s powers? (Hey, you never know.) Will they be found by Shawn, or are they stay completely off the grid in the confines of the void? Also, what does the new plan entail, and will it ensure them a shot of making it in the Good Place?
