One of Disney Channel’s hugely popular shows, Lizzie McGuire, may be making a comeback. There are ongoing conversations about a Lizzie McGuire revival.

This is what dreams are made of! All 90s fans, your dreams may be coming true soon. EOnline recently interviewed Hillary Duff and she stated that there are a few conversations about bringing back Lizzie McGuire. The fanboy of me is so excited!

Lizzie McGuire ran on the Disney Channel from 2001 to 2004 and a movie that was made in 2003. Lizzie and Gordo never got together – I wish they did. He deserved her.

We better see Miranda (Lalaine) and Adam Lamberg (Gordo) back. Of course, the parents, Jo and Sam, (Hallie Todd and Robert Carradine ) have to be back in some capacity, along with Lizzie’s younger brother, Matt, played by Jake Thomas.

The good news about all this? Lizzie McGuire creator, Terri Minsky, who currently has Andi Mack on the Disney Channel, has publicly stated last year that she would come back and bring more Lizzie McGuire in a heartbeat but she said it’s not up to her. She said it’s up to the interested parties, which I assume is the network and cast members. It seems it is now possible.

Terri said:

"“She still looks like Lizzie McGuire to me in this role. The fact that she is this cool, fashionable, intelligent executive, it all makes sense to me, and the only thing missing is the little animated character telling us what’s really going on inside her head.”"

I’m sure many of you want to hear what Hilary actually said, and here you go:

"“There’s been some conversations. It’s definitely not a go. I don’t want to get everyone wild talking about it."

Want to hear the most awesome part? Hilary said she doesn’t think Lizzie is a mom yet, but she might be getting there soon. The reason why I say awesome is that this is Disney Channel’s property and I’m getting annoyed with all revivals with making the characters parents.

It happened with Girl Meets World along with Raven’s Home. The problem is the adults watch the show for the main characters, but they get brushed aside because of the kids. The adults get watered down, as well. At least it did with Girl Meets World where Cory and Topanga were dumbed down and they weren’t acting like parents most of the time, which is what annoyed so many fans.

If a revival gets greenlit, it needs to be on either ABC or Netflix. Disney Channel has a lot of parental control going on and the fans aren’t here for that, including me. But I’m not going to be negative Nancy today – the fact that there are ongoing talks about a possible Lizzie McGuire revival is exciting!
