3. John Roberts wins an Emmy

Of all the predictions, this one is the most frustrating. Considering how great his performance as Linda Belcher is, John Roberts has yet to win an Emmy. He was only nominated once in 2015 and obviously, didn’t win. In 2018, Roberts wasn’t even considered and didn’t receive an Emmy nomination.

At this point, it seems like a cruel joke. Roberts is incredible as Linda Belcher and deserves to be recognized as such.

Looking back at 2018, Roberts continued voicing and singing as Linda. He also voiced one of Tina’s frenemies, Jocelyn, her mother, and various other small roles. Roberts is such a big part of Bob’s Burgers and it’s time the Emmys treats him as such.

As sad as it is for Roberts, no one from the show was nominated for Outstanding Character Voice-Over Performance. They kept with their usual choices including The Simpsons and Family Guy. Eventually, it’s going to be Bob’s Burgers turn to have multiple actors nominated in that category.

In 2019, it would be great to see Roberts get another nomination. Even if he doesn’t win, he deserves to be considered. If we all can see that, there’s no way the Emmys can’t.
