1. More summer-themed/summer holiday episodes

Moving to the final prediction, this one was an interesting one. For the most part, Bob’s Burgers is set during the fall and winter time. It makes sense because that’s when the show premieres. If there’s one thing the show lacks, it’s summer-themed episodes. Apparently, I saved the best for last as this prediction was the only one that came true.

Season 8 of Bob’s Burgers was a treasure trove of new things. There was a plethora of spring and summer-themed episodes. The show does have some summer-themed episodes, but it’s rare that season plays such a big role in the episode. In season 8, there was a handful of episodes where it did.

The biggest example has to be “Boywatch” where Tina tries to become a junior lifeguard. There was also another Mother’s Day-themed episode: “Mo Mommy, Mo Problems” and an episode centering around spring break, “Sleeping with the Frenemy.” Season 8 felt like it had everything and adding a few summer/spring-themed episodes was an awesome compliment.

Even though only 1 of my predictions came true, 2018 was a huge year for Bob’s Burgers. Most notably, Season 8 was a huge one for the series and arguably, one of its best. Season 9 has the potential to be just as good but it’s a little early to tell. Either way, the show continues to impress well into its ninth season and that’s really all that matters.

Bob’s Burgers airs Sundays on FOX.
