The last we saw Casey and Naomi, they were trapped in Casey’s burning apartment. Do they make it out alive? Can they get the man responsible on Chicago Fire Season 7, Episode 10?

Chicago Fire returned from its winter break and wasted no time in picking up where the episode left off. With Casey’s apartment burning around him, he had to find a way out for him and Naomi.

It’s time to delve into the midseason premiere of the middle One Chicago show. Not only do we quickly get answers about Casey and Naomi, but we see a few relationships come to an end.

More from NBC

Getting out alive

It doesn’t take long for Casey to get him and Naomi out of the burning apartment. The windows aren’t an option because they’re security glass, but the wall is.

Yes, you read that right. Casey pulls the railing from his closet and smashes through the drywall into the hallway. After rushing back for her phone with a lot of the evidence, Naomi and Casey get out and get other people in the building out before the firefighters get there.

There’s no doubt this fire was arson, but it will take some time to prove that. With the police’s hands tied, Casey and Naomi do their own research and manage to find out who warned them to back off. No, he didn’t start the fire, but he is able to offer answers and evidence to get the CEO of the trailer company taken down.

It’s a quick end to a storyline. And that’s not the only one! Naomi is off to Zurich on a story, so that’s the end of their relationship. She does leave with some advice: put everything from the apartment away and forget about it. It’s time for Casey to move on.

Kelly gets a job

Meanwhile, Kelly has the opportunity to work on a boat restoration job. He may have got out of the business, but right now he’s dealing with a lot and it is a nice boat. Plus, the guy who wants to hire him is so loaded that he put a load of money into the boot for Casey without really knowing everything it was for.

This is clearly a guy who talks with his money, though. While looking at the boat at the house, Kelly sees the relationship between the guy and his son. It’s clear the guy isn’t much of a dad and Kelly likely sees some of his relationship with his own dad in this relationship.

It’s not surprising in the end that the kid starts helping Severide to restore the boat.

Stella realizes what she doesn’t want

As that happens, Stella realizes that Tyler did want more from her. When she turns him down, he gets annoyed and walks away.

Does this mean things are okay again between Stella and Severide? Nope! She realizes that Severide needs help and she can’t be there for him right now. He’s drowning and refuses to seek help, so she decides the relationship isn’t working.

Two for two on relationships ending tonight on Chicago Fire.

Finding something for the seniors

As the side story of the night, Firehouse 51 have people coming for a fire safety demonstration. Brett wants to do a cheer, but it’s so embarrassing that the others refuse to even consider it. After a few ideas float around, they finally decide to do an obstacle course. Teens will love American Ninja Warrior Chicago Fire style.

Well, they might, but it’s not high school seniors. The seniors are senior citizens. As they load off the bus, Brett, Emily, and Otis panic a little.

Hilariously, Mouch knew all about it throughout the episode. While the others were putting a plan together to impress high schoolers, he was getting them tacos and the fire safety demonstration video. Alls well that ends well, and this episode certainly did. Hey, I’ll take the fire safety vid for tacos!
