4. Master Lin has a family

We’ve seen Master Lin with his wife, but Deadly Class Season 1, Episode 6 delved further into his life. We got to see that he and the woman running Kings Dominion are brother and sister — and they’re certainly not on good terms.

Slowly, their story has come out. We’ve now learned that while they both went through the same trials, Master Lin was 10 years older when he did and far more capable. Sure, he tried to look out for his sister but she’s not happy and she certainly knows how to hold a grudge.

That grudge is crossing into the students’ lives though. While I’d say it’s not fair, this is a school for assassins, so it’s probably pretty standard.

However, that’s not all we learn about Master Lin’s family. He has a daughter, too. Will she end up at the school or is he going to try to keep her protected from is?

What’s extremely interesting is that Lin’s wife and child were supposedly killed in a train accident. Everyone believes them to be dead but they’re right there. So, what’s going on? Did he make up their deaths to keep them protected from everything, especially his sister?

3. Billy is trying to deal with his father’s murder

You can tell throughout the episode that Billy is trying to cope with the events that happened in Vegas. Chico’s death isn’t the topic of conversation. It’s all about his father’s murder.

It was clear from the way “Saudade” set up the storyline that Billy was going to struggle with this. While he certainly wanted his dad dead and his family safe, there would have been a part of him that wanted a good family.

When talking about the good times, it’s clear that this was what he really longed for. Now that his dad’s death, he knows that the good times can never happen again. Sure, his mom and brother are safe and his brother won’t be sold to Kings Dominion like Billy was, but is that really a consolation?

It should be, but this is Billy. He is one of the most human members at the school. With being sold, he’s not actually done things that would make him an assassin and he’s just trying to survive. Just because he thought about killing his dad doesn’t mean he really wanted to and that part of him will likely raise its ugly head at some point.
