8. Who was shot?

Another obvious question that needs to be addressed. Throughout the finale, Michaela, Zeke, Ben, and Saanvi got the same calling to “stop him.” At one point, it looked like the calling was aimed at Griffin and then at Zeke, but by the end of the episode, it was clear that it was about Jared. The calling needed people to stop Jared from going into Zeke’s apartment.

By the time Michaela got there, Jared and Zeke were tousling with a gun and it went off. We have no idea if someone was shot or if anyone was shot. One thing is for certain, this is another overused trope and I can’t see anyway out of doing the norm here. Of course, that is if someone was actually shot. The gun could have gone off in random direction.

Chances are someone has been shot. I want to say that it’s going to be Zeke. He was going to die anyway in a year judging by the rule that Ben had brought up, but there are high chances Jared has sped that up a little.

Saying goodbye to Zeke would mean more drama between Michaela and Jared. This could force him to go back to Lourdes, if she’d have him back, continuing this love triangle for Manifest Season 2.

If it is Jared, then it would open up the chance for the two to finally be on the same page. WIth a bit of “I told you so,” Jared could recover in hospital with Michaela realizing that she needs to trust him and his judgment — although I hope that’s not the case because Jared really needs to trust Michaela’s judgment too!
