Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles just released a new trailer and it’s time to get excited about the movie.

DC tends to do a pretty good job with their animated films and this time they’re teaming up with Nickelodeon to bring us Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It isn’t the first time these two properties have crossed paths, since IDW has been publishing the crossover comics for quite some time now.

You won’t hear Kevin Conroy as Batman, the character will be voiced by Troy Baker, who will also be voicing the Joker. It’s the first time that someone has ever voiced both characters. It’ll be interesting to see how Baker changes his voice to account for the very different personalities of the two characters. Other cast members include Darren Criss as Raphael, Kyle Mooney as Michelangelo, Baron Vaughn as Donatello, and Eric Bauza as Leonardo.

The trailer recently dropped for the movie and it will arrive on digital on May 14. You’ll have to wait a little longer for the 4K, Blu-ray and DVD release, which arrive on June 4.

I’ve read some of the crossover comics and had a good time reading them. I’ve watched several of the DC Animated films as well, so I know that they can bring us some great stories, even if they don’t hit the big screen like the live-action movies do. I’m excited for this movie and look forward to seeing what comes of it. Could we wind up with a whole crossover universe? That would be something that DC could have some fun experimenting with.

The world premiere for the movie is happening at WonderCon in Anaheim, CA on March 31. If you’re in attendance, it might be something you’ll want to check out. Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait a little longer to see it.

Batman vs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will release digitally on May 14 and physically on June 4.
