After failing to kill him during the last episode, the women still have him as a problem and he’s spent the runaway money he gave them. It’s not like they can call the cops to say he stole from them, though. After all, the money was a bribe to get out of dodge and not turn them in for their crimes.

So, Beth, Annie, and Ruby will need to deal with things their own way. At the end of the last episode, Annie realized that Mary Pat is stuck in an engagement that she doesn’t want, so it only seems natural to pull her into the plan. Of course, Mary Pat bribed them in the past but Boomer is a much bigger issue.

For Beth, it’s not just about Boomer. She has a problem with one of her kids. Kenny gets in trouble at school and now she needs with that. Considering Dean had been shot and it’s clear there are money problems — c’mon, the kids wouldn’t see the missing fridge? — it’s not surprising that one of the kids is acting out.
