This Is Us Season 3, Episode 16 is set to be an intense and emotional episode. Titled “Don’t Take My Sunshine Away,” there’s a lot that we’re concerned about. Here’s what to expect and how to watch live.

The title is from a famous children’s lullaby, and the initial thought is that this will be a hint of a song Kate is going to sing baby Jack. That certainly is possibly the case, but it could also be linked to the fear that she and Toby will feel throughout the episode.

Jack is extremely premature. Right now, all Toby can see is pain but Kate sees a fighter. The two will find themselves on opposite sides when it comes to making some crucial decisions for their son and all I can think of is Kate asking Toby not to take her sunshine (Jack) away.

Then there are the issues of all the other couples. Randall and Beth & Kevin and Zoe found themselves in tricky places in their relationships. A lot of this comes from the Pearson men. Zoe isn’t happy that Kevin kept the secret about his drinking, while Randall has unfairly expected Beth to give up on her dream. Things aren’t looking so great.

While last week focused on the present day, keeping the episode contained to the waiting room, This Is Us will see some focus on the past again, as we get more of Rebecca and Jack’s relationship. Could this be where the title links to?
