10. Stassi (last week’s ranking: 2)

As the rest of the girls go skinny dipping late into the night in Mexico, Stassi decides that she wants to go to bed. As a fellow-man on the wrong side of 30 who never believed himself to ever be fun, I am totally on #teambed over #teamdrinkingandskinnydipping.

However, Beau wants to go out and hang with the boys. Stassi wants Beau to be with her, so she gets angry with him for having FOMO and rebelling by staying out with the guys. Eventually, she relents and lets him stay while she goes to sleep.

The next morning, Stassi admits that she was acting like a crazy, drunken bat from the upside down. Oh, I see you dropping Stranger Things references Stassi. It’s moves like this that make you my favorite.

Later, though, Stassi is being a bit of a sourpuss at the club, not wanting to dance with the other girls. She gets angry that Beau seems to be pushing her to have fun and honestly she’s right. He was being a bit of an overbearing partner, just let her back down when she needs to wind down.

She and Beau end up back in bed together and the drunken emotions begin tumbling out. Stassi says she can tell Beau doesn’t want to be there like he’s her prisoner. She says she wants him to want to be her prisoner.

Beau tells her that he feels like he committed to her and threw himself into her life, but he feels like she just wants to control him. She basically says that she doesn’t want to be with him if she can’t rely on him to come home and stay with her because that’s not what a mature boyfriend does.

This is just not a good look for Stassi because she’s basically telling Beau she doesn’t trust him and thus has this need to be possessive of him. Beau sniffs this out, telling Stassi that he’s been nothing but honest and solid with her, yet she’s treating him like she thinks he might cheat on her. He ends up asking how they are supposed to last if she can’t trust him.

She goes on about how she feels scared and is seeing warning signs like those she missed with Jax and Patrick. Beau correctly points out that all of that stuff that is causing her doubts is not because of anything he did. But Stassi says that just because Beau hasn’t done anything yet doesn’t mean all those past experiences don’t count for something.

I get why Stassi feels this way, because of all the crap boyfriends she had in the past and she’s scared to let her guard down, but she’s wrong to take this out on Beau. She can’t expect him to bend to her will whenever she wants and she certainly can’t expect him to want to bend to her will whenever she wants. If she wants an obedient partner, she already has a dog.
