#2 Tony is back

At first, this is an emotionally happy moment. Captain Marvel finds Tony and Nebula and returns them to the Avengers base where all his friends, including Pepper Potts, are waiting. No one is more happy to have Tony back alive than Pepper and their reunion is very sweet.

Tony Stark is crushed. He’s devastated by the events that happened. It’s so sad that the very first thing he says, and to Steve Rogers, is “I lost the kid,” referring to Peter Parker/Spider-Man.

#3 The stones

The team, or what’s left of it, decide to find Thanos and use the stones to bring everyone back now that they have Captain Marvel on their side. Carol Denvers may appear cocky to the rest of the team, but we have all seen what she can do and know she’d give Thanos a good match (more on this later, too).

They find Thanos, but to their surprise, he informs them that he has used the stones to destroy the stones and that it almost killed him. Not wanting to hear anymore, Thor executes Thanos. The team is devastated they have failed again.

#4 Moving on

Fast-forward five long years later. Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow appears to be the leader of the Avengers now. We see her getting monthly updates and reports from Nebula, Rocket, Captain Marvel, Okoye, and Rhodey on their hero activity across the galaxy. Rhodey, for example, appears to be dealing with crime in Mexico, while Captain Marvel is busy flying all over the universe helping where and when she can.

Steve Rogers aka Captain America drops by and he and Nat chat about how they have both been encouraging others to move on, despite being unable to do so themselves. It’s a tearful moment — when Natasha cries, we all cry! They are filled with regret and guilt.
