Black Mirror

Premiere date: Wednesday, June 5

Network: Netflix

This upcoming season of Black Mirror on Netflix only consists of three episodes. Many fans are upset about that, but if you remember, the first two seasons of Black Mirror were also only three episodes long (or short, depends on how you see it).

The third and fourth season contained six episodes, this was followed by a movie, Black Mirror: Bandersnatch, that received mixed reviews. Fans believe that because of how long the movie Bandersnatch took to make (not to mention the money that went into that project) we’re getting a short Season 5.

I agree, but I also don’t. Sure, I would love more episodes. But look at it as quality over quantity! The three trailers for the episodes are out and they look great. Here’s a quick rundown:

“Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too” stars Miley Cyrus as Ashley, a popstar who doesn’t appear all too happy with her fame. There’s also Rachel (Madison Davenport), a super fan, who just about worships Ashley. I’ve described it as a dark Hannah Montana with technology spin.

“Striking Vipers” stars Anthony Mackie as a potential cheater? Or so it seems based on the trailer! Knowing Black Mirror, though, I’m sure there’s something more sinister involved.

Finally, there’s “Smithereens,” the action-packed of the three. It stars Andrew Scott, Damson Idris, and Topher Grace. In the trailer, we see a cab driver go crazy on a passenger and appears to hate technology.
