In what should have been a simple week of Big Brother with Gr8ful remaining in power, shifting alliances and leaked secrets have left the house in a state of chaos. With Nick stepping into the HOH position, will he bring order to Gr8ful and keep the power structure in place?

From a fan perspective, Jack winning HOH last week was worst case scenario. Not only would he continue to flex his dominance over the Big Brother house with tangible power, but Gr8ful could continue their march towards the final 8. However, this week may serve as the catalyst for an exciting summer.

Now entering my second edition of the Big Brother power rankings, we will begin to track the rise and fall of each player on the list. You will see the ranking, player name, how far the player rose or fell from last week, and their average placement on the list. Also, spoiler alert: some Big Brother live feed spoilers do exist in these power rankings.

Gr8ful has finally been exposed and alliances have began to shift slightly. How will that impact the rankings?

No. 13 Kathryn Dunn (+1, Avg: 13.5)

Did I mention that Kat will never win this game? Unless some stroke of genius gameplay emerges in the next week, she will remain at the bottom of this list forever. Her position in the house has gotten worse since Jackson dumped her, and she has done nothing to improve on that whatsoever.

No. 12: Jessica Milagros (-2, Avg: 11)

Man, I had such high hopes for Jessica in the first few days of this game. However, despite surviving the block, she will continue to be a target on the Gr8ful side of the house. Though she still is not the target this week and she may ride the block for the next month, she’ll never come across enough power to shift the dynamics in the house.

No. 11: Cliff Hogg III (-2, Avg: 10)

The live feeds this week seem to indicate that Cliff is public enemy number one for Nick. However, he still lands a spot above Jess. I believe he has a stronger game presence to potentially get out of this mess. Also, with Camp Comeback just around the corner, Cliff could easily win his way right back into the game (though I’m not getting my hopes up).

No. 10: Nicole Anthony (+2, Avg: 11)

I’m just going to be honest, I love Nicole. I think she’s done a lot for her game since last week. Unfortunately, it has just gone all wrong for Nicole on the live feeds the last couple of days.

If she can avoid eviction this week then she’ll desperately need some power. If she can go into next week with HOH, or the HOH on her side, then Gr8ful can begin to dissipate and Nicole can get back in this game. I’m not counting her out yet, but things looks bad.

No. 9: Isabella Wang (-8, Avg: 6)

Ugh, Bella. I overestimated her last week. Bella is running her mouth to far too many people, isolating herself with Nick, and trying to destroy Gr8ful from within. I haven’t loved Big Brother 21 all that much up until this point, but when Gr8ful finally implodes, it’s going to be glorious. Bella is the reason it’s going to be glorious. She’s confrontational and a gossip: a perfect combination.

No. 8: Nick Maccarone (-3, Avg: 7.5)

Our HOH falls a few spots on the rankings this week for similar reasons to Bella. He’s isolated himself and has vocalized his plans to destroy Gr8ful. The top dogs of Gr8ful as well as some of the stragglers outside the alliance are sure to see him as a threat (which he isn’t) and take him down pre-jury.

Big Brother 21 Player Profile and Analysis: Analyse Talavera
Big Brother 21 Player Profile and Analysis: Analyse Talavera /

No. 7: Analyse Talavera (-3, Avg: 6.5)

Yawn. Sis is hiding behind Jack and will remain tucked away under his wing until shots start getting fired. She’ll slip under the radar for now but in no way do I see her making a run to win the game. She sits in the middle of the pack because she’s in a good spot in her alliance and could be stealthy enough to stay unassuming.

No. 6: Holly Allen (-3, Avg: 5.5)

Yawn (part 2). Holly is hiding under Jackson’s wing. Honestly, her and Analyse are practically the same player to me. She’s going no where for at least the next month. Can she win? Sure, but we are no where near deeming that a real possibility.

No. 5: Jack Matthews (+2, Avg: 7)

Here’s the thing. Jack shouldn’t jump up a peg after making the target on his back larger. However, his game uses fear tactics (that work). He has a secret power and trying to get him out of this game is going to be very difficult. If the house wants to get him out, it’s going to take a united front ready to head straight into the storm, because it will be the biggest move of the game.

Jack is stumbling, but he is still in charge over at Gr8ful and even when that falls apart, Jack is going to fight tooth and nail to remain in the game.

No. 4: Jackson Michie (+2, Avg: 6)

It feels like Jack and Jackson belong next to each other on this list forever, doesn’t it? Despite being the most intense human being on planet Earth, he’s the better player.

He has a slightly better sense of the game around him. He also allows the game to come to him rather than Jack who is grabbing the game by the horns. Jackson also seems like the nicer person, and honestly, that matters quite a bit in Big Brother.

No. 3: Sam Smith (+7, Avg: 7.5)

Sam has the tools in his belt to make this happen. It’s just going to come down to how he chooses to use them and when he chooses to use them.

As much as we all want to see him lead the charge against Gr8ful, it’s probably better for his game to wait. He can use the connections he has within Gr8ful to further himself in the game and then shoot his shot.

Hard not to root for a guy like Sam.

No. 2: Christie Murphy (+1, Avg: 2.5)

Christie and Tommy both benefit from one thing: they aren’t Jack or Jackson. They are the true leaders of Gr8ful and will remain in control of their own games until something drastic happens.

Even further, Christie just won the final Whacktivity comp and has the diamond power of veto. However, all that power is the exact reason she stays at the number 2 spot, because people with power become threats.

Tommy Bracco Player Profile & Analysis
Tommy Bracco Player Profile & Analysis /

No. 1: Tommy Bracco (+/- O, Avg: 1)

For now, Tommy is the Kacee to Christie’s Tyler. Optically, Tommy is the lesser threat, which makes him in my eyes, the biggest threat.

Tommy has as strong of a social game as anyone in the Big Brother house has right now. He’s running the show alongside Christie, and nobody is out to get him. He remains in the top spot, and frankly, that’s not changing anytime soon.
