3. Ingrid avoids taking a paternity test.

Javi tries to tell his parents that Ingrid’s baby is his. He takes too long, and Ingrid blurts it out instead. Santiago immediately goes on the defensive. His suspicions about Ingrid are supported by Helen, who calls her a glorified scam artist. Elsewhere, Gigi asks Mateo for his opinion on Ingrid, and he’s much kinder than Helen. Gigi begins being kind to Ingrid, seeing herself in the girl given their similar circumstances.

Whereas Santiago puts the hammer down. Over dinner, he tries to coax Ingrid into taking a paternity test and signing an agreement that she won’t sue the hotel. Ingrid takes offense and storms out. Her freak out works as it pits Javi against his dad.

Eventually, Santiago softens and agrees to give Ingrid and Javi the money, plus a place for her to live! Ingrid truly is working a great scam, for now. By episode’s end, Carolina makes a seemingly innocuous comment to Gigi about how she thought Mateo and Ingrid were an item. This gets the wheels turning in Gigi’s head.

2. Marissa is not the first woman Yoli’s dated.

Who is Sky’s mysterious ex-lover? Get this, it was Yoli! Despite appearing new to the whole liking-women thing, Yoli was actually in a relationship with Sky before. She even has a keepsake box full of photos of the two of them together.

But, as she tells Marissa, her prior relationship ended “really badly.” Uh-oh. Now it’s looking like Yoli might have had something to do with Sky’s disappearance. Or does she really miss her? I guess we’ll find out soon enough!

1. Nelson is dead. Did Mateo kill him?

Danny won’t get to question Nelson at all because when Mateo leaves his bedside table at the end of the episode, he’s flat-lining. We can assume Nelson is officially dead. Was Mateo the one to finish him off?

Grand Hotel appears to make this implication, although it’s not officially confirmed. It looks like Danny will have to look elsewhere for answers, perhaps Yoli will wind up next on his suspects list.

Odds & Ends

• For now, Alicia and Danny are done. Alicia tells him they could find a way to make their relationship work in spite of the memo, but Danny tells her it won’t work. Then he gets a call from the mysterious Heather.
• Yoli and Alicia share a sweet bonding moment. Alicia knows Yoli is into Marissa and promises not to tell anyone. She also helps save Marissa’s job.

A new episode of Grand Hotel premiere Monday, July 22 at 10/9c on ABC.
